1. Avoid touching your new tattoo as much as possible.
2. Keep the SecondSkin wrap on for approximately 3 – 5 days.
3. Ensure the SecondSkin remains clean and dry until it’s time to remove it.
4. To remove the SecondSkin, gently peel up an edge or corner in the direction of hair growth. Avoid pulling upward, as it can be painful for some individuals.
5. Consider removing the SecondSkin in a warm shower, as warm water can help loosen the adhesive and make removal easier.
6.Expect some light weeping, scabbing, peeling, or flaking during the healing process; this is normal.
7. Healing typically takes three weeks to a month to complete.
8. Wash the tattoo with a mild soap, avoiding direct contact with bar soap. Do not scrub; gently remove any lubricants until the skin no longer feels greasy.
9. Use a clean towel or disposable paper towel to pat your tattoo dry carefully.
10. Wait until the tattoo starts to feel dry and itchy before applying unscented, gentle lotion. Apply a thin layer once or twice a day as needed, avoiding over-saturation.
11. Refrain from scratching your tattoo, as this can damage it and lead to scarring.
12. Avoid submerging your tattoo in water, whether in a pool, lake, ocean, or hot tub.
13. Especially during the first two weeks, shield your tattoo from direct sunlight exposure.
